KIDSCAN
The Coffee Club has been a proud supporter of KidsCan since 2009, raising much-needed funds every year for the charity.
2022 is set to be a big year for KidsCan who are planning to:
- Redesign their food programme to best meet the needs of the Kiwi kids they support in early childhood centres, primary schools and high schools across New Zealand.
- Have gumboots available in the early childhood education centres they support–because every kid should be able to splash in puddles with warm, dry feet.
- Have new and improved shoes available for older students.
- Welcome on another 25 schools, bringing their support to a whopping 854 schools nationwide.
- Continue to explore a dental hygiene programme to support our young people.
- Expand our early childhood centre programmes so we can welcome the 100 centres currently on our waitlist to the KidsCan village.
Here at The Coffee Club, we support KidsCan in a number of ways; making an annual financial contribution, volunteering our time, and sharing the KidsCan story with our customers. Every day our youngest customers and their grown-ups support KidsCan, with 50c from every fluffy bought donated to KidsCan.
KidsCan will be running fundraising campaigns throughout 2022, so keep a look out for updates and how you and your customers can get behind helping this awesome local charity. Together we can make a better New Zealand for all Kiwi Kids.

SPCA
The Coffee Club has been a proud supporter of SPCA New Zealand since 2017, in the beginning as the official event sponsor of the SPCA Cupcake Day, and since 2020 the official event sponsor of the SPCA Annual Street Appeal.
The SPCA Annual Street Appeal is one of SPCA’s biggest fundraising events of the year which has the largest participation nationwide. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness and funds for SPCA so they can continue to help over 46,000 abused and neglected animals who need love, care and shelter. Over 2,500 volunteers across more than 350 collection points around New Zealand set out to collect these much need funds.
The 2020 SPCA Annual Street Appeal was a week-long event which took place from Monday 2 March to Sunday 8 March, and during this time all The Coffee Club cafes generated donations in-store by encouraging customers to add 50c or more to their bill; in addition to this The Coffee Club also contributed with an online match-funding campaign in an effort to raise further donations and awareness. At the end of the campaign, The Coffee Club visited the SPCA Village and presented a cheque for $30,000 to SPCA New Zealand, for the funds raised from the 2020 SPCA Annual Street Appeal campaign.
The Coffee Club has also been involved with a number of ongoing initiatives and events organised by SPCA such as the SPCA Great NZ Paws Walk.
