KIDSCAN
The Coffee Club has been a proud supporter of KidsCan since 2009, raising much-needed funds every year for the charity to help provide food, shoes, jackets and health products to Kiwi kids in need.
2025 has been a big year for KidsCan already. They have:
- Brought more than 8,000 more pre-school children on board with the government-funded Food for Kids programme, providing food to an additional 300 early childhood centres.
- Increased the number of KidsCan-supported early childhood centres across New Zealand to 203.
Here at The Coffee Club, we support KidsCan in several ways; making an annual financial contribution, volunteering our time, and sharing the KidsCan story with our customers. Every day our youngest customers and their grown-ups support KidsCan, with 70c from every fluffy bought donated to KidsCan.
KidsCan will be running fundraising campaigns throughout 2025, so keep a look out for updates and how you, your family and your friends can get behind helping this amazing local charity. Together we can make a better New Zealand for all Kiwi Kids.
In 2024, KidsCan made an amazing impact in schools and early childhood centres across New Zealand:Â
- Distributed more than 5 million items of food to children in need.
- Supplied more than 50,000 cosy jackets, keeping Kiwi kids warm during the winter months.
- Provided almost 40,000 pairs of shoes and socks, keeping children’s feet dry and protected.
- Ensured New Zealand children are kept healthy by sending out more than 50,000 basic health products.
SPCA
The Coffee Club has proudly supported SPCA for over a decade, with our partnership dating back as far as 2014. Over the years, we’ve backed a range of key campaigns including SPCA Cupcake Day (2018, 2019), the Annual Street Appeal (2020, 2021 before it was cancelled), Give to Get Them Home (2022, 2023), Matched Giving (2024), and this year’s Pets of the Year competition (2025).Â
In 2022, we joined the SPCA Certified programme, ensuring that all our cage-free eggs are from SPCA Certified farms, reinforcing our commitment to animal welfare and helping set a new standard for the hospitality industry.
With our dog-friendly cafés and strong community spirit, we’re proud to champion SPCA’s work to care for over 30,000 of New Zealand’s sick, injured, neglected, abused and vulnerable animals every year.
SPCA’s work is only possible thanks to the ongoing support of partners like us, and we’re honoured to continue playing a part in their mission. To learn more and find out how you can get involved, visit www.spca.nz.
